Last Updated: January 2024

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Crown Adventures website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and participants of our outdoor expedition services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services or access our website.

Crown Adventures reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Expedition Participation Requirements

All participants in Crown Adventures expeditions must meet minimum age, health, and fitness requirements appropriate to the specific activity. Participants are required to complete comprehensive medical disclosure forms and provide accurate information regarding their physical condition, experience level, and any medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely participate.

Crown Adventures reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual who does not meet safety requirements or whose participation may pose risks to themselves or other group members. Participants must follow all instructions provided by qualified instructors and guides during expeditions.

Minors under the age of eighteen must have written parental or guardian consent and may be required to be accompanied by an adult participant depending on the specific expedition type and difficulty level.

3. Safety and Assumption of Risk

Outdoor adventure activities including but not limited to climbing, kayaking, trekking, canyoning, and wilderness expeditions involve inherent risks. Participants acknowledge that these activities carry potential for injury, property damage, or in extreme circumstances, death. By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity.

Crown Adventures maintains comprehensive safety protocols, provides professional instruction, and uses quality equipment to minimize risks. However, participants must understand that outdoor environments are unpredictable and that complete elimination of risk is impossible.

All participants are required to wear provided safety equipment at all times during activities and to immediately report any equipment malfunction, injury, or unsafe conditions to instructors.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Crown Adventures reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any expedition due to weather conditions, safety concerns, insufficient participant numbers, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, participants will be offered alternative dates or full refunds according to our cancellation policy.

Participants who need to cancel their booking must notify Crown Adventures in accordance with the cancellation timeframes specified at the time of booking. Cancellation terms vary depending on the expedition type and advance notice provided.

Crown Adventures is not responsible for any travel expenses, accommodation costs, or other related expenses incurred by participants if an expedition is cancelled or rescheduled.

5. Equipment and Personal Property

Crown Adventures provides professional-grade safety equipment for all expeditions including helmets, harnesses, ropes, flotation devices, and other activity-specific gear. Participants are responsible for the careful use and return of all provided equipment in the same condition as received, normal wear excepted.

Participants may be held financially responsible for loss or damage to equipment caused by negligence or misuse. Personal equipment brought by participants must meet safety standards and be approved by instructors before use.

Crown Adventures is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought on expeditions. Participants are advised to secure valuables and to bring items appropriate for outdoor wilderness conditions.

6. Photography and Media Release

Crown Adventures may photograph or video record expeditions for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes. By participating, you grant Crown Adventures permission to use images and recordings that include your likeness on our website, social media, promotional materials, and other media.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify Crown Adventures in writing prior to the expedition. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, though complete avoidance may not always be possible in group settings.

7. Code of Conduct

All participants must conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully toward instructors, other participants, and the natural environment. Behavior that endangers others, damages property, or violates environmental protection regulations will not be tolerated.

Crown Adventures enforces strict Leave No Trace principles on all expeditions. Participants must follow all environmental guidelines including proper waste disposal, respecting wildlife, staying on designated trails, and minimizing impact on natural areas.

Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind will result in immediate removal from the expedition without refund. Crown Adventures is committed to providing safe, inclusive, and welcoming experiences for all participants.

8. Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crown Adventures, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliated instructors shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in expeditions, except where caused by proven negligence or breach of duty on the part of Crown Adventures.

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crown Adventures from any claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from their participation in expeditions, including claims made by third parties.

Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel and activity insurance that covers outdoor adventure activities, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.

Crown Adventures may work with third-party providers for transportation, accommodation, equipment supply, or other services. While we select partners carefully, we are not liable for the actions or services of these third parties.

12. Weather and Environmental Conditions

Outdoor expeditions are subject to weather and environmental conditions that may change rapidly. Crown Adventures monitors conditions closely and makes decisions prioritizing participant safety above all other considerations.

Participants must be prepared for variable weather conditions and must bring appropriate clothing and gear as specified in pre-expedition information. Expeditions may be modified, shortened, or cancelled due to adverse weather without constituting a breach of these terms.

13. Medical and Emergency Procedures

All Crown Adventures instructors hold current wilderness first aid certifications and carry comprehensive first aid equipment on all expeditions. In the event of injury or medical emergency, instructors will provide immediate care and arrange evacuation if necessary.

Participants are responsible for any costs associated with medical treatment, emergency evacuation, search and rescue operations, or hospitalization. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers these potential expenses.

Participants must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, and medications that may affect their ability to safely participate or that emergency responders should be aware of.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or from participation in Crown Adventures expeditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes through good faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action. If resolution cannot be reached through negotiation, the parties may pursue mediation before litigation.

15. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms remain in full force and effect.

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any specific expedition terms provided at the time of booking, constitute the entire agreement between you and Crown Adventures regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
